The 2015-2016 school year will be my 16th year of teaching. I was in third grade for 8 years and taught a 3/4 split for one year, and then fifth grade for one year. I am happy to be back "home" in third grade! I have been at Irving all of those years and wouldn't go anywhere else. I love our community and every one I work with.
I have a daughter Casey who is 12 and will be in seventh grade and my son Mason is 8 and will be in third grade this year. I love spending time with my kids. They love swimming, parks, playing outside, and reading together. My kids have a dog named Carly. I have a pug named Jasper. I have a younger brother named Steve and a nephew Landon.
I was born and raised in Bloomington.I graduated from Normal Community West in 1996, and Illinois State in 2000. I returned to school and received my Masters in Reading in 2006. I love school and love to learn. I guess that's why I became a teacher. I can remember wanting to be a teacher since I was in kindergarten!
